Care Guide
Light
Bright, indirect light is ideal, but one of this plant’s greatest strengths is its adaptability. It also tolerates medium and lower light conditions, though growth may be slower.
Water
Allow the soil to dry completely before watering thoroughly. The Dwarf ZZ stores water in its underground rhizomes, making it much happier with too little water than too much.
Humidity
Average household humidity is perfect.
Temperature
65–85°F (18–29°C). Avoid temperatures below 55°F.
Fertilizer
Feed monthly during spring and summer using a balanced liquid houseplant fertilizer at half strength.
Growth Habit
Compact, upright growth reaching approximately 12–18 inches tall, making it ideal for desks, shelves, and smaller spaces.
Pet Safety
Not pet safe. Contains calcium oxalate crystals and should be kept out of reach of curious pets and young children.
